Rafael Trapiello

Nacido en Madrid en 1980, es fotógrafo y artista visual. Como miembro del colectivo Nación Rotonda formó parte del Pabellón Español en la 15ª Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia (2016), galardonado con el León de Oro. Su obra individual se ha expuesto en el Museo Hermitage de San Petersburgo, el Centro José Guerrero de Granada y el Centro de Arte Alcobendas, entre otros. En 2026 forma parte de Volver a imaginar, una de las exposiciones centrales de PHotoEspaña, comisariada por Geaninne Gutiérrez-Guimarães, comisaria del Guggenheim Museum Bilbao y el Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation. Su obra está presente en colecciones como Fundación Bassat, Kells Collection, Studiolo, Fundación ENAIRE, DKV, y Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica. Está representado por la galería Arniches 26 (Madrid). 

Born in1980, is a Madrid-based photographer and visual artist. As a member of the collective Nación Rotonda, he was part of the Spanish Pavilion at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale (2016), winner of the Golden Lion. His individual work has been exhibited at the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Centro José Guerrero in Granada, and Centro de Arte Alcobendas, among others. In 2026 he is part of Reimagining, one of the central exhibitions of PHotoEspaña, curated by Geaninne Gutiérrez-Guimarães, curator at Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation. His work is held in collections including Fundación Bassat, Kells Collection, Studiolo, Fundación ENAIRE, DKV, and the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition. He is represented by Arniches 26 Gallery (Madrid).
